Something that is so important is a good timeline!! Having a timeline that is clear and easy to follow can be such a helpful tool when planning your wedding day. I wanted to take some of the stress off of your plate and offer two FREE timeline samples to help you plan your dream day.


These basic templates can be changed around and customized to your liking and coverage hours. These templates are based on my post popular coverage time of 8 hours but can easily be extended for more coverage!

5pm ceremony with first look


9am - hair and makeup starts


1pm - photography coverage starts, candid getting ready photos of both partners, & flat lay detail photos (optional: pj photos or creative getting ready photos)


2pm - hair and makeup final touches & posed getting dressed photos


2:30 pm - first look and couple's portraits (together and INDIVIDUAL)

3:15 pm - wedding party photos

4pm - immediate family photos

4:30 pm - couple's break before ceremony & photographer takes ceremony details

5 pm - ceremony

5:30 pm - ceremony ends & extended family photos

6 pm - couple has private moment, photographer takes reception detail photos & cocktail hour candids

6:20 pm - guests take seats for reception

6:30 pm - reception grande entrances

6:35 pm - first dances

6:45 pm - dinner

7:30 pm - toasts & cake cutting

7:45 pm - optional sunset portraits for summer sunsets

8 pm - dance floor opens

9 pm - photography coverage ends, mock exit or grande exit
