Summer Garden Party Inspired Wedding Day
Kate and Brandt’s wedding day was one of those that felt extra close to my heart. I’ve photographed so many special moments for them over the years, from senior photos and engagement sessions to Kate’s graduation photos, so getting to capture their wedding day felt like such a full-circle moment.
Their wedding took place at The Venue at Tumlin Lake in Northwest Georgia, one of my absolute favorite venues in the area. It’s tucked away in the countryside, surrounded by rolling hills and peaceful water views that make every photo feel timeless and serene. The weather was warm, the light was dreamy, and everything about the day radiated joy.
A Garden Party Dream
Kate and Brandt brought their vision of a garden party wedding to life so beautifully. The bridesmaids wore dresses in a mix of soft, cheerful colors that added so much personality to the photos. Each dress complemented the next, creating a fun, whimsical look that perfectly matched the laid-back, summery vibe of the day.
The groomsmen added their own twist with western-inspired details, including cowboy hats, boots, and just the right amount of southern charm. The mix of garden party elegance and country flair fit Kate and Brandt perfectly.
Heartfelt Moments and Family Memories
The day was full of personal touches that showed just how loved these two are. One of my favorite parts of the day was the maid of honor speech, given by my sister. She had everyone laughing and tearing up all at once. It was one of those moments that reminded me why I love what I do: capturing genuine, emotional moments that people will look back on for years.
Throughout the day, Kate and Brandt were so present with each other. From their first look to their sunset portraits, they were all smiles, completely in the moment, and surrounded by the best kind of energy.
Golden Hour by the Lake
We ended the evening with portraits by the lake as the sun dipped low over the water. The golden light made everything glow, from Kate’s dress and Brandt’s cowboy hat to the sparkle in their eyes that said “we just did it.”
It was the perfect ending to a day that felt joyful, meaningful, and full of love.
