let me guess, YOU'RE planning your elopement & you want to go all out but you don't know how.

I got you.

In this post I'm outlining 6 different ways you can add that special touch to your elopement & really make it a super fun day with very intentional downtime. It's super important to schedule your elopement timeline carefully so you and your new spouse can fully take in & enjoy your day together! These are just some of the ways I've seen couples in the past make their elopements all about having fun and fully enjoying their day!

Split Up Your Day

I know sooooooo many couples that choose to split up their elopement for sunrise and sunset. I love this because it leads to the most beautiful lighting & it's one of the most beautiful times of day. It's super special to have the sun rising and setting behind special moments of your elopement day.

For sunrise, lots of couples do a first look and read their vows to just each other. This way, you get to see each other all dressed up way sooner and you get those first moments of the day to just be with each other. Lots of couples chose to read their vows at this time and not during their actual ceremony so they can actually listen to the vows and not be so nervous! Lol!

For sunset, this is when your real ceremony with your officiant would be. If you choose to invite family this is where they would be included in your day! Now they get to hear your vows to each other and see both of you dressed up. If it's just you and your new spouse, this is a great way to cap off your day by making it officially official.

Hire a Private Chef

Okay I saw this one the other day and I HAD to include it in this list!! Hire a private chef!!!!! Imagine you come back to your airbnb after your ceremony & you just want to relax and hang out with your new spouse. Bam! A private chef is there waiting to make you a beautiful & delicious 5-course meal. Seriously though, hiring someone to come cook for you is just so special and boujee so what other day to do it than your wedding day!

Have A Picnic Lunch

This is one of my favorite ways to make your elopement day extra fun! You can head to the top of a mountain with your little picnic basket full of charcuterie board essentials to have a cute & romantic little picnic lunch date with your partner. This one is so special and fun because you get to spend some intentional time with your partner just laughing and enjoying your downtime.

Play Your Favorite Game Together

Trust me when you elope & you have a split timeline like I talked about in this post, you'll have little downtime where you can include things that you like to do together. If you guys love playing card games, uno, monopoly, cards against humanity...literally anything, DO IT! It really helps relax you and your partner and have fun together!

Have A First Dance

Lots of couples tend to overlook the things that traditionally happen at a reception but a first dance is so special that I think it should be included! I love to schedule first dance time right after the ceremony while you're still at your epic ceremony location. It makes that first dance with your partner so beautiful and special. For my couples I sometimes ask them to create a Spotify playlist a couple weeks before their elopement so I can play all of their special songs during their ceremony!

Have A Sunset Champagne Toast

Whether you do the sunset ceremony or not, I still think it's always such a cute idea to do sunset champagne (or whatever your drink of choice is) toast with each other! It's such a great way to celebrate your new marriage and relax after your day together! You get to sip champagne and watch the sun go down together. These pictures alway turn out so cute too!

SETTING INTENTIONAL TIME AND ACTIVITIES FOR YOUR ELOPEMENT DAY WILL MAKE IT A SUPER SPECIAL AND LOVE-FiLLED DAY THAT WON'T STRESS YOU OUT! YOU WILL HAVE MORE TIME TO RELAX AND ENJOY BEING MARRIED INSTEAD OF RUNNING AROUND TRYING TO GET EVERYTHING DONE YOURSELF!
