Emily + Daniel's Romantic May Wedding at the Venue at Twin Oaks in Bremen, Georgia

Emily and Daniel’s wedding at The Venue at Twin Oaks was such a good time. I’ve photographed here a bunch, but every time I come back I find something new to love. The whole property has such a romantic, whimsical vibe! It’s the perfect spot for couples who want their wedding photos to feel timeless but also a little dreamy.

One of the best parts of this day was working with Captured Companies again. Faith, the coordinator, was incredible! She made sure Emily and Daniel had everything they needed and even helped me and my second shooter, Kate, get all the shots on their list. It felt like such a team effort, and I love when vendors come together like that to make the day run smoothly.

The weather was a little rainy and cloudy, but honestly, I was secretly thrilled about it. Overcast skies make the prettiest, softest light, like nature’s version of a giant softbox. It gave all of their photos this cozy, moody vibe that looked super romantic.

Something I loved about Emily and Daniel is how game they were for photos. I also did their engagement session, so I already knew they’d be down for anything, running, twirling, frolicking through fields...you name it, they’ll go for it 100%. It makes shooting with them so much fun because they trust the process and fully commit.

They also had some of the most unique wedding details I’ve ever seen. Emily is a teacher, so instead of a traditional shuttle for their guests, they used a school bus. It was such a fun and personal touch, and guests absolutely loved it. Of course, we had to sneak in a few photos with the bus since it represents Emily so well! It was such a cool way to make their day feel even more “them.” And then there was the gelato truck. Seriously, this was the highlight for me (and for most of their guests too). It was such a creative and unexpected treat. I may or may not have had two gelatos myself because they were just that good.

Even though it was a chilly May day, their reception heated things right up. Their friends and family packed the dance floor, the DJ crushed it, and the energy was nonstop. It was one of those receptions where you could feel how much everyone wanted to celebrate the couple. It was the perfect ending to such a fun, heartfelt wedding.

Emily and Daniel’s Twin Oaks wedding was full of laughter, love, and little personal touches that made it so unique. From the school bus to the gelato to their epic dance party, their day was such a reflection of who they are and I’m so glad I got to be the one to capture it all.
